ما يعنيه ذلك بكلمات بسيطة
على القيم الافتراضية، يُحسب كل طن يُشحن في 2026 على أنه 3.9864 طن مكافئ: القيمة الافتراضية 3.624 مضروبة في 1 زائد الزيادة البالغة 10%. وبحجم 2025 البالغ 64,645 طن، يصبح ذلك نحو 257,701 طن مكافئ من الانبعاثات المتضمَّنة على القيم الافتراضية (من حسابي).
وفي 2028 يحمل الطن نفسه 4.7112 طن مكافئ، أي نحو 304,556 طن مكافئ للحجم نفسه.
ولا يشتري المستورد شهادة عن كل طن من هذه الأطنان: فهو يخصم مقدارًا مرتبطًا بالمرجع القياسي يتناقص كل عام حتى 2034. وهذه الخطوة في الحاسبة في صفحة آلية CBAM والألمنيوم المصري، وهذا البند من بنودها.
